There's a whole new generation of men, young men, white men, who are getting indoctrinated in this kind of thinking. I'm on FB with one (he's a relative) and he was going on about the complexity of gun categories. "Where do you draw the line?" he said.

I said, "We draw lines all the time. It's what civilized societies do. Is it perfect? No. But we don't just throw up our hands and do nothing." He had no answer for that.
