15. $1600 a month isn't bad, but then I'm from SoCal

Rents for a two bedroom apartment in Los Angeles are around $2500 a month, $1600 gets you a studio apartment. I honestly don't know how people do it.

I went the other way and moved out to the desert 10 years ago. $350,000 for a really nice 2070 sqft mobile home and metal workshop with a guest apartment upstairs on 5 acres. If I had waited until now to buy it would have seriously affect my retirement to the point of putting off retirement until I was 70.
