He always struck me as a textbook case of arrested development -- stuck in the know-it-all teenage asshole phase that some boys go through, with a heavy dusting of taking pleasure in the misery of others, in his case.

Those "Prove Me Wrong" banners he used to fly were hard evidence that he never understood how often and thoroughly people did.
