not a full Colonel! Amongst the military, courtsey is often rendered by most service personnel, by addressing a Lieutenant Colonel as Colonel, but the LTCs do not answer the phone as "Colonel". Same with Lieutenants, regardless if they are a 2nd or 1st LT, second being the lower rank. My wife always laughed at me when folks addressed me as "Colonel" when I was a Lieutenant Colonel...One of those quirky traits the military and press use when talking to active or retired military. I practically scream at the TV when they interview and thank talking heads as "Colonel" when they are LTCs....Especially, now that I too am a full Colonel....West is a clown and my Army is so much better off with out him...! I feel sorry for you folks in Florida that are represented by him.
