Police arrest 2 teens in Ga. baby killing

88. Some thoughts

1. Lets wait for the evidence against the two teens. Too often in the past it was grab the first convenient black face.
2. Can the mother be excluded (or at least determined to not have fired the bullets which hit her).
3. Is it possible that the mothers story is covering up her involvement in a crime (not the far more important crime of killing the child, but there was a case in Nashville years ago in which a dad went to a drug buy with his kid in the back seat - it did not go well and the kid was shot and killed - that is still capital murder for the shooter, but it makes the shooter a little less cold blooded).


If it is as the mother stated, then I see no redemption for the shooter. It will be a lifetime of incarceration. No parole ever. Even on this pretty liberal board, you will find very few that would be comfortable with extending parole even 40 years later for something like this.

It appears that the 17 year old has an alibi. His aunt was serving him breakfast. Could you imagine lying like this to cover up such a crime (if she is lying). If the alibi is cracked, I hope the aunt is prosecuted to the fullest extent as well.
