In reply to the discussion: House GOP campaign chief: Obama budget ‘shocking attack on seniors’ [View all]malibea
(179 posts)56. Where is "vulnerable" defined in Budget?
I know that the President says that the "chained CPI" proposal will not affect those "most vulnerable" seniors. Can anyone tell me where I can find a definition of those "most vulnerable" seniors not affected by the chained CPI methodology? I trust the president and do not believe that the CPI will have an affect on "all persons" currently receiving Social Security, but I need to read for myself who will be exempted from this new assessment tool. Can some of you smart people out here help me find what I am looking for?

What I would like to know is who in the WH told Obama that this was a good idea.

Talk is cheap, what are republicans waiting for? They need to agree to a compromise with chained CPI
