He is clearly not what he claims to be to his people (an incarnate god and avatar of his grandfather) and that is causing the problem. Inside NK, people are no doubt in a state of major conflict - their state media feeds them the propaganda, but the empty suit being propped up is actually dumber than W. and less charismatic than candidate Gore...that would create some serious cognitive dissonance for sure.

As a result, Un feels the only way out of this trap for himself is brinksmanship and walking right up to the line of total annihilation if necessary, and if he is going to go out, he has no problem taking a few million people with him. Every sniper in Asia should be on contract to take this guy out at any opportunity.
