(11,186 posts)32. I refused to feel any sympathy for the family.
The parents showed total disregard for common sense in giving a rifle (even one made for "children"
to a young child. The parents should be thrown in jail facing whatever charges the authorities can charge them with because a normal adult would have been able to foresee the consequences of their choice. Their toddler daughter never stood a chance. If love for your children is not sufficient for parents to insure their safety then they do not deserve to be parents. It is time that the legal system starts putting these idiots in jail.

So true.But the parents will be the first to talk about their "rights"to have that gun.
