18. Assholes.

While driving home tonight, I heard an interview with Jeff Sessions where he more or less called food stamp recipients lazy, and that they didn't want to work despite all the jobs that are out there. I nearly drove off the road, I was so angry.

Hey, Jeff, riddle me this: How many of these great jobs that you say are out there offer a living wage? Would they support a family? Are they full-time? Is there room for advancement in terms of a pay raise? I won't even bring up the subject of benefits.

And one more thing, Jeff: Most people, I think, WANT to work. They want to provide for themselves and their families, by the fruits of their own labor. It's been a rare person I've met in my life who wants to feed at the government trough from cradle to grave. But when the job won't make ends meet, and when that job is all there is, WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DO??? I understand that your party also wants to cut people from the rolls who are enrolled in training programs. So again, what do you want people to do?

No need to answer that, because sadly and disgustingly, I think I know your answer.
