In reply to the discussion: Sen. Jim Inhofe's son dies in plane crash near Owasso [View all]Camballo
(73 posts)More than a decade ago, Dr. Inhofe operated twice on my wrist to try and correct a terrible break for which I had received very poor care that left me disfigured and in a great deal of pain.
He was, bar none, the best doctor I've ever had. Once, as I went into my exam room for an appointment, I saw him pause outside the door of another exam room. He was talking into a small tape recorder making verbal notes about the patient he was about to see.
Whenever he came in to see me, he knew exactly why I was there that day, all of my history with him, and he made me feel as if my wrist was the only one he was treating.
And, on top of all of that, he was incredibly kind and empathetic toward me.
The senator may be on the opposite side of almost everything many of us hold to be true, even dear, but he must be a good father and decent man personally or he just couldn't have a son like Dr. Inhofe.
I am so sad for the doctor's family friends and staff. What a heartbreak.
Ps. I am so proud and honored to be with such a fine group as you all. Commenters on the Tulsa World newspaper site were so out of line so fast, the paper shut down the comments.
