And in every instance, the vitals were done right next to the parents, who could witness it all. Like I said elsewhere, the number 1 hospital for deliveries here made it a practice in the last 5 years to take the baby to a separate room for this process, but will continue to do it "the old way" if the parents ask. This was a very special moment for me, as a father, and I cannot imagine someone denying that opportunity because they hate the father so much. There are millions of women who would die to have an active father in the lives of their kid and this woman is using this as an opportunity to give a big "fuck you" to the father who wants nothing more than to be involved in the child he is equally responsible for. Let the father participate in this process and then excuse themselves when the mother begins the nursing process. Based upon what was presented in the articles posted about this issue, the father would have been more than happy with that outcome.
