Hopefully it will have at least a modicum of influence on American legislatures.

I don't know a lot of technical knowledge but in future does this help net neutrality even in North America in that one could log on through a European server in order to say be able to log onto DU? (which I'm sure will be one of the first sites the new owners of the net will slow down to a snails pace)
