26. The interim president was elected to parliament in 2012
Mon Apr 14, 2014, 04:24 PM
Apr 2014

He is a senior member of one of the leading parties; he was previously deputy PM (for about 3 years) and briefly acting PM, and he was elected again as an MP in 2012. He was chosen by the parliament, after over half of them had voted to get rid of the previous (highly corrupt) president. 285 MPs voted for him - over half the 450 in the parliament. That was a parliamentary vote, not a 'meeting with American and IMF representatives'.

I think you need to calm down. There's no need for endless capitals, or question marks. Your middle paragraph is meaningless panic.

Tip for everyone to search to see if a username is already in use on DU: type it into the site search box at the top right. 'PerceivingBalance' (the use or non-use of capitals doesn't matter) gets no hits. You can also go to the 'My Inbox' page (top right, again), and then type in the start of a username in the 'Send DU Mail to' box. If there are partial matches, it will give you a list of members (that haven't been banned). The only user name starting 'perceiving' is 'PerceivingLife'.

No, 'calling out' is not in the terms. There's a link to them at the bottom of each page.
