The Finns fought with the Germans against the Russians during WWII after Russia invaded Finland. It was called the "Winter War."

The Finns prevented an all out takeover of Finland by Russia before the Germans attacked. IIRC, Finland was a former colony of Russia in the 19th century.

I think that you can cross them off the list for this assignment.
