I read an article by a gastroenterologist who said that it didn't matter how many Prilosec you needed to stop the burn, that it was imperative to stop it. I can get heartburn drinking a glass of water. I take a Prilosec every morning whether I need it or not. I know at some point during the day the burn will show up unless I take it. Chronic is different than "I had Italian food last night." The vinegar thing, yeah right, can't get more acidic than that. Ridiculous.
I'm very sorry about your friend. I'll bet you do miss him. Something that so easily could have been taken care of. So sorry!
