3. the "economic anxiety" argument was always wafer thin

And usually tendered up by "moderate" apologists that were desperately trying to sell "reasonable" -- usually to somebody that was holding a TV camera and a video feed. If you actually talk to humpers -- you'll quickly find out how little empathy they actually have for the displaced or the down and out. You have never heard a single one of these people talking about child care, early education, student loans, payday lending, DACA ... Nothing! Not a single damned thing that would have any impact in lifting a burden from the poor.

Excuse while I climb my rickety ass down off the soapbox -- 'fore I fall and break somethin'.
But -- "anxiety" my skinny bleepin' hind end -- how 'bout selfish and mean spirited down to the friggin' bone? Got a helluva lot more to do with it!
