While we’re waiting for Congress to return from their August recess to debate the deal between Iran and the U.S., we’re seeing Republicans making statements about how the deal will embolden Iran to continue their efforts to develop a nuclear weapon, putting the United States at an unnecessary risk. The people out there pushing these talking points are the same ones who told us that we have to invade Iraq in order to stop terrorism.
