I like my Dyson. It has a ball and a cord. I don't think they sell it anymore.

Miele are nice, but cashy! We have one only thx to my sis who decided to buy a new one.

We bought a floor sample Miele at Bed Bath & Beyond. Four years later it's still great.

Could also be clogged somewhere ... have you checked all the hoses, cleaned any filters
