7. You've descirbed perfectly what we have been going through.

Started maybe 2 months ago. Initially we picked up the phone and the spoof was about some senior thing, like medicare .

Our thought is that if it's important, or a call we may be waiting for they will leave a message. We can turn off our ringer for some peace time.

When we check for messages we pretty much delete the ones that are less than 10 seconds.

When we are expecting an urgent call we monior the incoming phone number, if it's obvious sproof (experience with the Area code thing and most prefixes) we just let it go to machine or pickup and hangup.

Many of our personal contacts are on our phone list and they show up with their names.
