(21,046 posts)A very good, small, nominally Presbyterian, liberal arts college. Big tennis school along with Stanford, Rice and UCLA. In football, plays powerhouses like Tarleton State College and The University of Guadalajara.
B.A. Biology. still waiting for that fabulous career that all Trinity grads are supposed to have.

Also attended the University of Houston, a large state school.
Also:

A freestanding private law school with a huge enrollment of about 1,000 students.
Formerly partnered with South Texas Junior College which fed former G.I.s into the law school after World War II. At the time, students needed 60 credit hours of college to go to law school, which was then and is still now, 90 semester hours. At the time, the degree earned was the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) which has now been changed to the Juris Doctor (J.D.), since the entrance requirements include a bachelor's degree.
South Texas Junior College was eaten by the University of Houston and is now the Downtown College of U of H.
Now South Texas College of Law is known for producing excellent trial attorneys.
3rd degree: Houston Community College, A.A.S. in Court Reporting. I was the first graduate of the court reporting program at H.C.C. which was started in 1975.
Yes I was a college bum.
