doesn't really like kids much, either.
Oh, she's great with babies. But once they get older she does this disconnect thing.
I'm opposite. Not big into babies. Toddlers...trying to amuse them is frustrating, exhausting, boring, etc.
My grandkids are 11, 9, and 8 1/2. They started getting pretty cool once they each reached, oh, about 7 years old.
I don't get to see them as often as I would like...this past Christmas Eve (as usual) we went to my son's house where all three of the grandkids already were (son has two girls, daughter has one boy). It was SO neat to walk in the door, and there they are, lined up waiting to greet Poppa and Nanny.
I like to tell them they're the best grandchildren any Nanny ever had.
PS...when friends and others post photos of their little babies on Facebook, I'm like....meh.
If it's photos of their pets, that's when I take notice.
I feel guilty, but what can you do...
