4. I have one very strange incident, and the very few times I've related this story out loud

I've been looked at like I just fell out of a tree.

Thanksgiving day, 4 years ago, my brother passed. In those days I still smoked cigarettes, outside, not in the house.

So very early the next morning, well before daybreak, I'm out in the driveway watching the sky facing to the west, as was my habit at the time. Cuppa coffee, a smoke and watch the sky. Naturally I was thinking about my brother.

I noticed a star sized light quickly moving east from the west, as does the space station, which I'd seen many times, flying over. But this time the light, as it got to about a 10:00 position distinctly seemed to be not only moving from the west, but also coming at me as though descending toward me. As I watched this in amazement for what had to be a couple of brief seconds, I blinked. When I refocused the light was in the same area of sky, only now was moving to the south. In the literal blink of an eye.

And no, it wasn't a jet. No blinking lights and it was moving much faster than jets appear to, as anyone who has seen the ISS go over will know. But the ISS isn't under propulsion, and even if it were, nothing man made can make an instant 90 degree turn.

As if that isn't strange enough, the part that gets me viewed with the "skunk eye" is that in the perhaps 15 seconds I watched this light, I had an overwhelming feeling that it all had something to do with my brother. I still hold that feeling.

Four and a half years later, I still think of that often, and am still both amazed and sort of freaked.
