On a suburban street, doing about 30mph in a '58 Chevy, I hit a pothole and my front left hubcap came off.
I could see it rolling along parallel to me.
I sped up and pulled a bit ahead of it.
I opened my door, slowed, the hubcap caught up with me, and I reached down and grabbed it with my left hand.

God I wish I had a video of this, because no one would believe it.
I got a slight cut on my thumb from the flange on the hubcap.
