I think we haven't even scratched the surface of the break between Jimmy and Chuck yet.
Seeing Chuck and Kim together in that scene made me wonder if, in the future of the series, Chuck wins over Kim on the love front and that's the final straw for Jimmy so he becomes Saul.
It's going to have to be something big (deep loss) to push him there.
