My 15 yr old daughter was the same way. We caught up years ago so it is difficult to keep up the intensity when you don't have the ability to binge watch. The seasons are short and spread out so you have to wait forever for new content.

My daughter ended up becoming a real anglophile. She loves all things English. I have taken her to London which she loves.
