I watch ospreys fly quite a lot around here. There's even a kite couple who live nearby. (Nice people, stick to themselves mostly, probably apolitical) The photo you've crafted shows many nuances of their flight technique which I'd never noticed. Wing leading edge sensitivity appears to play a larger role than is obvious from live flight observation. The switching of winged suspension to foot/talon support is an engineering masterpiece.
