your assumption is correct for me. I haven't consumed commercial sources for news as a reliable source since probably 2004. It will be good to evaluate the accuracy and depth to which they cover the subject. Since the TV has become the LCD for dissemination of information it will manage the perception of many people who otherwise would be completely uninformed.
As Randi Rhodes always said "if you didn't see it on the TV, it didn't happen"
