On another thread we talked about making the May 7th CD election an experiment in mail-in voting.
I've been thinking about that all morning.
Unfortunately, Tony Evers is handcuffed by the a-holes who control the legislature so we can't count on his ability to use the law as a way to implement the mail-in process.
At this point our best bet would be a concentrated Democratic Party BLITZ of the 7th CD to push for absentee ballots. We need to shove (as a party) as much money and advertising as we can muster into that effort, perhaps independently of Zunker's campaign.
April 7 taught me a lesson locally. I was on the ballot for a County as well as a City position (unopposed...sort of like winning "the ugliest man contest" but my district's turnout was one of the lowest in the City ....why? Because I have a lot of low-income, senior citizen apartment complexes in my district....they were terrified of going to the polls and most did't/don't have computers to order their absentee ballots while City Hall was closed except for absentee "in person voting" which most didn't want to do.
Look at the demographics of the 7th CD....
