It focuses on the GOP history of spreading the right to vote to those who did not then have the right, freed slaves; landless men; women and more recently their efforts in lowering the age limit of the electorate to 18. This is of course in direct contrast to what the GOP is currently up to. A fascinating article by Nichols to say the least.
