In an exclusive cover story interview for the latest issue of Us Weekly, the former First Lady, New York Senator and Secretary of State opens up about how her 18-month-old granddaughter, Charlotte, has inspired her current presidential campaign — as Us Weekly‘s Christina Garibaldi and Ian Drew discuss in the video above.
“Having this wonderful little person in your life makes you think about the future in a whole new way,” the Oval Office hopeful, 68, tells Us of 36-year-old daughter Chelsea’s first child with husband Marc Mezvinsky.
“Being a grandmother is the most amazing experience. And, of course, when you have the most amazing 18-month-old granddaughter, it’s even better,” the Chicago native continues. “I arrange my campaign schedule around seeing Charlotte, and one of the highlights of the last year was getting the chance to have Chelsea, Marc and Charlotte on the campaign trail with me.”

As a very proud grandmom myself, I understand how Hillary feels. Like her, I want a better future for them all and I KNOW that Hillary will work her hardest for that better future.
