23. It took me a while to understand why white progressives are saying these things about black voters

Many of these people bought the narrative that the Clinton's were racists when it was used against them in 08.

Obama needed the black vote. And I dont rememeber the name of the surrogate that did it, but it was a young black man, I think the son of one of the civil rights legends, who went on the media circuit making the claim that the Clinton's were racists and bad for the black community. A lot of the very liberal left jumped on it. But it wasn't true then, and it isn't true now. Most black voters that i've seen interviewed now, say that they didnt vote against Hillary in 08, they voted FOR Obama, after he proved he could get white voters. They still loved Hillary, but it was a once in forever moment in history.

I assume those in Bernie's campaign that are being dismissive about black voters, are among those who bought the lie. So they can't understand how anyone in the black community would vote for Hillary.
