bought and paid for, in order to shape opinion, rather than faithfully record it. The way questions are framed can have a remarkable bearing on the ultimate findings.

Under capitalism, everything is for sale. Mind you, under Communism, government isn't always subject to democratic elections. And just to complicate matters, in South America, the kleptocrat-oligarchs will do their darnedest to make sure they're not democratic - only in their favour!

What a world we live in! In the US elections with their privatized, patented machines, I think, elections are a metaphor for the capitalist demi-monde, rather than a gauge of the will of the people.
