12. If you've shot .357 out of a revolver,

the .45 shouldn't be a big deal. Slightly different recoil impulse than a .40 in a light auto, slower, maybe a little bigger push, but with a standard 5" barrel/steel frame to soak up some recoil, no big deal. Makes bigger holes in the paper, easier to see from farther out.
