But I can assure you if I were I wouldn't take out $300,000 in loans to get a degree that will get me a job that pays $40,000. As business decisions go, that's pretty moronic.We have a lot of problems with college costs in this country. We also have a lot of problems with discretion and wise, prudent decision making.

Now if you want to go into the hole 400 or 500k to become a doctor, or some other high income professional, that kind of money and the debt associated with it is probably a good investment given that the debt holder will likely earn many more times that over the course of a 30-40 year career.
