There are no good options for the GOP here. If the RNC "pulls the plug" on the Trump campaign, Don the Con will retaliate and urge his supporters to abstain from voting on down ballot races.
Politico reports that more than 70 prominent Republicans including several former GOP senators and congressmen have written a letter begging RNC chairman Reince Priebus to pull the plug on Trumps campaign and instead spend all their resources protecting down-ballot Republican senators and representatives.
