Students and activists opposed to the controversial campus carry law that went into effect earlier this month will protest the measure on Wednesday by carrying dildos on the University of Texas campus.
The protest, dubbed “Cocks Not Glocks,” will kick off at 8 a.m. on the first day of classes, according to a Facebook event page on which more than 10,000 people have indicated they plan to participate.
Participants will strap the sex toys to their backpacks or just openly carry them throughout campus. Event organizers said they hope students will continue to carry the dildos until the law is repealed.
The law, which went into effect on Aug. 1, allows those licensed to carry a concealed handgun to bring their weapons into buildings on public university campuses.
