I was hoping someone would explain this to you before you got your GD thread locked, and you have probably already figured this out, but it's generally okay to support a 3rd party or 3rd-party candidate here, a reasonably sympatico one anyway, but not to actively campaign for one. Around election time, the rules become stricter, and you don't want to do either.
