2. Long term, we're gonna need to work downticket and local party players.

Clearly, the top of ticket only happens every four years and out impact on the top slot is limited (but still important).

The rest of the time, we can all learn who are our local party leaders, what are they doing and why, how do we caucus for change or replace them?

That's my first gut reaction-- work locally all year long, every year, and elect more progressive Dems to all offices.
