By Jim Callaghan's Labour Government. The first May Day I remember having off school was in 1979. It pissed it down, (it usually does.) The Tories hate it, and want to get rid of it in exchange for another day more in keeping with their imperialist ideology, but they can't decide what day, Trafalgar, Agincourt, Thatcher's Birthday.

Meanwhile a motley crew has joined forces to keep it, not just Trade Unionists and Socialist but neo pagans and worm charmers who want to keep May Day traditions alive.

In other words, weird shit like this.
