As a way to see how you'll answer when thrown off balance or back on your heels.

The natural response is to get defensive. The better response is to use it as an opportunity to bring out your strengths.

Bernie, I know, naturally doesn't like to appear to be boasting too much. But this is where you need to shine.

Of course Bernie can't do anything about not being the first woman. So he needs to hammer on the fact that he's bringing something even bigger and more substantial to the future of our country.
