(25,699 posts)It's next to impossible for a president to do anything to actually make big changes. it's just how the position works. And Obama... well, he wasn't going to be any sort of radical anyway. he did okay, still doing good - could have been better, but hey. Point is, I had no illusion that he was going ot come in and sweep the system.
I voted for "hope." Obama is someone I see as a wedge, a proverbial foot in the door. The first step on a road towards teturnign America to its progressive potentials. I'm supporting Bernie because i think he'll shove on the door that obama's foot is propping open. I have no idea that it'll work, none at all. But the hope counts for a lot. By contrast Clinton is, at best, stagnation. At worst she'll yank that foot out of the way and let the door slam shut in our faces.
