(1,501 posts)13. Hmm.. what you want in Joe's VP is not what Joe says he wants in a VP. In his own words...

VP Joe made zero mention of wanting someone with a heavyweight resume during his Q&A with black journalists via Politico:
Biden said its important to choose a No. 2 who reflects the nations growing diversity, indicating he would choose a running mate who is either a woman or person of color, if not both.
But Im not making that commitment until I know the person Im dealing with, I can completely, thoroughly trust, is authentic and is on the same page, he said... Obama knew ... they had the same value set and political disposition. Thats what I most want in whomever I pick, Biden said. Theyve got to be simpatico with what I stand for and what I want to get done.

Stacey Abrams was cheated out of GA's governorship so everyone knows she could now have been governor, is sharp as a tack who has been busy running her non-profit advocacy group focused helping to ensure future election security, will put GA and FL into serious play (black voters will stand in line all day for Biden/Abrams, people) given Trump's underwater approval ratings, and will supercharge black voter turnout. The latter two will not happen with Warren, in my opinion as an Obama Mama since 2007.
Perhaps most importantly for the future of this country, VP Abrams will make it her mission to ensure our elections are secure. I am all for that and so should all Democrats.

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Want a mega-turnout than 2016? VP Joe at the top of the ticket with Stacey Abrams as his VP.

As with HRC, she would accept if offered, I just don't think he'll go there

Apparently not. At least not once people found out it was long-planned and rehearsed.

Biden's continued strength with Black voters has to be very concerning for other candidates.

No one else is even close. And no one else is even close to Joe in job-specific qualifications,
