(1,736 posts)to bring the focus back to actual votes and paths to win in the state that I live in, volunteer in, and advocate personally for change in.
So what do those numbers say to you? One more total. The vote for the Democratic ticket in WI declined by 200K in 2016, way more than the number of Green or Libertarian voters. Trump's vote total in 2016 was 2K above Romney's in 2012, pretty much static. Voter suppression and voter apathy combined to doom us in 2016. It's up to the campaign and all of us to counter both of those challenges.
The endless search for scapegoats and inadvisably ignoring voting patterns costs us elections. Not David Sirota. Winning this election is going to take a stellar organizing effort and campaign, not a hyperfocus on a tiny number of votes and figures like Sirota whose stature is not nearly what you suggest.
