Btw, welcome to the fold, Michigan! I'm not sure how it will work in Michigan, but in CA, there are clinics and doctors that will issue a 'script and issue you a certificate so if you are growing or smoking it in public and are challenged, you can whip out your cert and you're good. As to how much pot you can grow, that will be up to the state. If we can't grow it (lack of yard, etc.), we have dispensaries in various counties from which you can buy it. Again, all you have to do is whip out your cert and have enough money to pay for it. Btw, dispensary pot is some of the best pot I've ever had!
