Herman Cain’s "Princess Nancy" line at Wednesday's CNBC debate inspired different things in different people.

For former South Carolina Republican Party Executive Director Todd Kincannon, it was a license to go a little wild on Twitter.

Some of Kincannon’s tweets following the Cain line (which Cain later walked back), as first snagged by Amanda Terkel:

@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec The Crabby Cunt from the California Coast"? #NancyPelosi
@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec Or how about “The Botox Bitch from Buggeryland”? That seems to work for Nancy Pelosi too.
@ToddKincannon: @TeresaKopec Would you prefer Nancy the Crooked Whore? More accurate, but also more words.

He later walked one of these back, but not for the reason you might think:

Kincannon is known in Palmetto State GOP politics, and his Twitter feed is legendary for being incendiary — or, as Kincannon calls it, joke-filled. Kincannon took the mini-controversy in stride.

“I think a lot of people need to learn how to take a joke,” he told TPM, “and I’ll leave it at that.”
