training for our Nation, then our society is doomed.

The chickenhawks who have started the unjustified war in Iraq have little grasp of what they have done. They consider military people as expendable slaves. I will always consider it an important quality for a political leader to have had honorable military service. Service in the military demonstrates commitment to the Nation, and teaches those who serve that there are many fine people in the service.

Kennedy was not the last President to serve. Check your history. I believe the sub-topic was about Presidents who had offspring in the military, anyway.

I find it hilarious how the flag-waving republicans, confronted with their non-service, are suddenly the party of "the military question is dead." Their hypocrisy and cowardice are exposed.
