... a familiar face/personality is going to get a great deal more media attention than someone who is unknown to all but his/her family and friends. Sad, but that's how the media works.

If there can be any upside to this at all, I hope it is that people who are fond of this man will turn their anger towards this illegal war, and not towards the people of Iraq who want us out.

I dread the outcome of these injuries to the men personally. :(
