is part of any religion. And the jackals that weasel they way into positions of influence and power just to prey on the 'believers' know that and use it to their advantage.

It's not the religion, it's the predatory bastards who worm their way into a position to prey on people.

It's not the religion, it's the mistaken belief that the 'minister' or 'priest' or 'lay teacher' can do no wrong. You have to question the motives and actions of EVERYONE, never ever blindly accept anything. Because just like in secular life (i.e. the BFEE worming their way into power), bad people with bad motives will find a way to get what they want. And they always prey on the young, the aged, the weak, and defenseless.
