and who in the recent past used the "n" word in an interview.

I have relatives in Pittsburgh who are Dem and despise Bush but have uttered racist/prejudiced statements from time to time.

OTOH, my mid-western "died-in-the- wool" Republican father in law made sure that his senior class trip in late 40's/early 50's Kansas was to a location that would welcome the single black member of his class and treat her equally to the rest of the group.

Funny how racism crosses political and ideological lines, isn't it?
