7. eBay is no longer a great place to sell or buy
I used to sell on eBay. Just small time, one or two auctions now and then. It was fun, and it was personal, and there were A LOT more buyers.
Buying was more fun in the early years, too. It was like shopping at a little antique shop. More small time sellers, more unique items. Friendly transactions.

These days, a small time seller won't make it. There are way too many mass-production sellers who drop ship from China. A lot of the sellers say their items are in the USA, but In fact, the item arrives 3 weeks later with "Hong Kong" stamped on the package. And eBay won't do anything about it.
